Job Title: Clinical Research Coordinator

Job Description:

We are looking to hire an individual with clinical research experience to act as the Clinical Research Coordinator for an ongoing Ophthalmology clinical trial. This position will help identify patients for enrollment through chart review, patient follow-up, and pre-screening. This individual will speak with potential patients over the phone to educate and screen against the study criteria for enrollment. Data Entry and query resolution will be an important aspect of this role. Additionally, the individual will be responsible for educating medical professionals and networking within the medical community for patient referrals.

  • Chart review of patients' medical records, with proficiency in navigating EMR systems

  • Patient pre-screening against the criteria for enrollment

  • Educating patients on the clinical trial

  • Data entry and query resolution using EDC systems

  • Scheduling patient appointments for their in-person study visits, along with study visits

  • Physician outreach, including visiting clinics and doctors' offices to meet with medical professionals about the study, educating medical professionals, and speaking about the clinical trial and patient history

Requirements:

  • Proficient with EMR systems

  • Proficient with EDC systems

  • 3+ years of Clinical research experience

  • Highly independent

  • Willing to obtain Good Clinical Practices (GCP) certified

  • Ophthalmology experience required
