The Director of Operational Oversight at FTSE Russell is a key leadership role within the Policy and Governance team reporting to the Global Head of Policy and Governance.

The role has an overarching responsibility for the day-to-day management and strategic direction of the Operational Oversight team. In this role you will be responsible for leading, developing and mentoring the Operational Oversight and Incident Oversight teams with responsibility for oversight of Incidents, Complaints, Operational Resilience and the development of policies and procedures aligned with regulatory requirements within the FTSE Russell business.

As the Director of Operational Oversight, you will manage a group of managers and associates and play a leading role in the improvement of the operational resilience and risk reduction of the index business.

Key responsibilities of the role: Instill a culture of strengthening operational resilience, improving risk management and providing good client experience across the team. Responsible for the Operational Oversight for the index business through the FTSE Russel governance framework. Chair FTSE Russell Operations Committee and respective Service Review Boards Drive adherence to and compliance with LSEG policies. Establish yearly goals and benchmarks for team members, support progress to objectives, fostering employee career and skill development. Work with colleagues across FTSE Russell and Group functions including Internal Audit, Compliance, Legal and Risk to progress incident management and client complaint reduction initiatives. Responsible for reviewing (changes to) operational resilience-, incident- and complaints processes and procedures. Apply client focus to Incident and Complaint trends ensuring enhancements are aligned with the expected FTSE Russell Client Experience. Actively engage with client-facing teams to understand client concerns and complaints. Represent the Policy and Governance team in due diligence meetings as required. Represent the Policy and Governance team in engagement with relevant regulators as required. Lead in the presentation of the incident and clients' complaints analysis to Governance Forums within FTSE Russell. Lead projects, as required, to support FTSE Russell's regulatory compliance. Key Behaviours and skills required to be successful in the role: Experience in the financial industry in general and the index industry in specific is essential. Experience working in a regulated environment. Experience with managing teams. Highly organized, process oriented and results driven mindset. Global role requiring excellent personal and communication skills to influence a wide variety of stakeholders. Experience working in a high-pressured and time-sensitive environment. About LSEG
