We are looking for a Senior Water Technologist to join our team serving our Water/Wastewater/Water resource clients across Atlanta, the Southeast, and the world. The Senior Water Technologist will focus on two primary areas of our business: Senior Water Technologist supporting ‘One Water’ Integrated Digital Water Solutions and US Southeast Water Growth and Business Development. Your central role will be to work closely with the Atlanta and broader Southeast and Global Water Leadership teams to achieve these objectives. Additional detail for each element of the role is described below.

Senior Water Technologist - As Senior Subject Matter Expert (SME) on One-Water and Digital Water Solutions, you will work with local, regional, and global leaders to inform market strategy, technological innovation, and delivery tools and methodologies to enhance Jacobs’ branding, capabilities and delivery of long-term solutions for our clients. The successful candidate will work with our sales and operations teams to help win and deliver critical projects leading to client confidence, follow-on work, and further growth. In delivering projects, this role will serve as a technical lead and will interface with clients and multidisciplinary teams and will serve as a mentor to other technical staff. The successful candidate should be a champion for incorporating our business accelerators into projects and bringing consulting and advisory, data solutions, and climate response solutions to our clients.

Water Market Growth and Business Development - As a Senior Technologist/Subject Matter Expert in the Water market, you will work with our operational sales team and Client Account Managers (CAMs) to develop and implement strategies to grow our water business with a focus on a few key clients. You will be responsible for growing our business by participating in and sometimes leading pursuits for both competitive and non-competitive opportunities.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering with a focus on Water, Wastewater, and/or Stormwater

• Master’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a related field

• 15+ years relevant and progressive work experience

• Licensed Profession Engineer (PE) with the ability to obtain licensing in Georgia and other states

• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

• Strong and effective written, verbal and public-speaking skills

• Passion for developing new or improved processes and/or technological methods

• Strong leadership skills including project execution and mentoring of technical staff

• Availability for some part-time travel, part time
