Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced accountant to facilitate the growing needs of our firm. The ideal candidate is organized, flexible, motivated and goal-focused with a professional demeanor and presentation. The Senior Accountant will assume a critical role, managing the day-to-day internal accounting activities of the firm and its various affiliated entities. We’re looking for someone with a growth mindset, who is ready to advance to the Controller role in the coming years. This role requires a full time presence in our Tempe/Mesa office.


General Accountabilities

Manage all aspects of the firm’s accounting operations including accounts receivable and payable, general ledger maintenance and journal entries Prepare accurate and timely financial reports including income statements, balance sheets and statement of cash flowsConduct financial analysis and provide insights and recommendations to support decision making processesReconcile balance sheet accounts, prepare and maintain supporting schedulesPrepare and maintain budgets and forecastsMonitor and manage cash flow to optimize financial performance Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency through automation, standardization and best practicesContribute to the development and documentation of accounting policies and proceduresSupport the leadership team with special projects and initiatives Perform other accounting duties and support staff members, as required


Job Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field required5 years of continuous experience in accounting Tech savvy with the ability to learn various software applications quickly Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlinesHighly motivated, self-starter with the ability to multitask and complete assignments within time constraints


Skill Requirements

Highly proficient in QuickBooks, both Desktop and OnlineStrong knowledge of Microsoft Office SuiteStrong knowledge of chart of accounts and adjusting journal entriesStrong organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsHighly effective written and oral communication skillsStrong sense of integrity and professionalism
