As an Analyst, Custom Compliance on the Global Trade Compliance teamyou will be trusted to work on Alcon's import compliance activities, cost reduction efforts, and risk management at our Fort Worth, TX location.

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Ensure fast and compliant broker entry filing by providing transaction support and improving systems and communication among various stakeholders.
  • Maintain working relationships with customs authorities, brokers, and express couriers.
  • Identify and implement process improvements related to KPIs, analytics, customs broker/express courier management & SOPs.
  • Lower risks by maintaining internal assessments and corrective actions.
  • Develop sound working relationships with key functions within the organization, e.g., Supply Chain, Procurement, R&D, Finance, Accounting, etc.
  • Maintain strong customs-related knowledge, particularly towards medical products, including HTS classification, customs valuation, country of origin determination, duty reduction programs, broker management, PGA requirements, recordkeeping, etc.
  • Assist with the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Alcon’s global trade compliance program.
  • Manage FDA-related data to ensure compliance with import declaration requirements.
  • Provide analytical support for projects, new business opportunities, and proposals.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +8 yrs; Assoc.+4 yrs)
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English.
  • Travel up to 5%.
