Job Summary:

The position of Cash Application Specialist plays an active role in SalonCentric's ability to achieve operational excellence and depends on general processing and posting of payments and adjustments to customer accounts as needed.

Position Responsibilities:

The Cash Application Specialist will interact regularly with Other Personnel/ Departments (AR, Credit, Customer Care).

The Specialist must be able to independently manage duties as assigned and communication flow.

  • Post & reconcile daily lockbox and wire payments
  • Process ACH payment batches
  • Research/Post Credit Card and PayPal chargebacks
  • Post NSF's & ACH returns
  • Post Altus Collection payments
  • Process Bad Debt write-offs
  • Refund Credit Card credits
  • Void Credit Card, PayPal, & Afterpay authorizations
  • Process bank deposits (checks mailed to National Operating Center)
  • Manage "Cash Team" email inbox (requests from Credit Specialists and Customer Care department)


Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years demonstrated Cash management or related experience.
  • High school diploma or Equivalent.
  • Proficient computer skills using Microsoft Windows, Excel, and Outlook
    • Proficiency in SAP strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability required.
  • Able to handle difficult or challenging situations with diplomacy, tact, and professionalism.
  • Able to work in a very fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Possess effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work occasional extended hours if needed.
  • This role is sedentary and requires 8+ hours per day of utilizing multiple computer screens with desk-risers, keyboard, mouse, and phone.
