MAJOR DUTIES:

Lays out and develops templates to construct, assemble, and install irregular items and systems.
Evaluates damage and/or wear to sheet metal components and systems. Disassembles, repairs, fabricates, assembles and installs sheet metal components. 
Plans and lays out templates for construction and repair of components for heating, ventilation and air conditioning duct work, kitchen equipment and exhaust hoods and copper roof components.
Checks system to determine component faults and to identify sheet metal pattern requirements.
Repairs copper roofs as required. Repairs or replaces cornices and ornamental copper roofing and light fixtures.
Works with stainless steel, copper sheet, magnesium alloys and honeycomb materials.
Utilizes a thorough knowledge of and compliance with applicable AOC and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) safety rules and regulations to ensure that work progresses in a safe manner and to initiate or take corrective action on unsafe conditions in managed areas.
