    About Our Client

    My client is the largest national linen rental and laundry service specializing in the healthcare market. Due to exponential growth, my client is looking for senior accountants to join the team.

    Job Description

  • Prepare and record monthly journal entries to the general ledger and have general ledger accountability
Ensure the timely reporting of monthly financial informationCollaborate with corporate and field accounting and financial, planning & analysis to support overall department goals and objectivesPrepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ensure all reconciling items are resolved in a timely mannerAnalyze financial statements by explaining variances from budget and prior year including to provide detailed analyses of significant variancesPrepare accurate, timely financial statements in accordance with the close scheduleAssist with annual budgets, forecasts, and reports by department, as necessaryRecord daily corporate cash activity and cash application reports to ensure accuracy and consistency for reportingPrepare bank reconciliations and ensure all reconciling items are resolved in a timely mannerAssist with year-end audit including to provide supporting documentation for auditorsComply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and company policies and proceduresContinually strengthen internal control processes and improve policies and proceduresCross training with the team and fill-in as a backup as neededPerforms ad-hoc analysis and other related duties as required

The Successful Applicant

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting 3-5 years of experience as an accountantActive certified public accountant preferredPublic accounting experience preferredProficient in finance, accounting, and US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP)Proficient in Microsoft Office and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel including VLOOKUPS, SUMIFS, and Pivot tables.Knowledge of basic cost accounting principles a plusFinancial statement consolidations experience a plusExcellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate details of financial informationGoal-oriented to flourish in a fast-paced environment with changing prioritiesAbility to work independently and with a team including various levels of managementBe detail-oriented, have a professional attitude, take pride in accuracy of work, and be reliablePossess strong organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills
