Position Summary  

The Program Manager is an operational leader responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple projects within a program. This role involves working closely with Program Engineering Manager to ensure all projects meet organizational goals, client expectations, and technical standards. The Program Manager will lead cross-functional teams, manage stakeholder relationships, and ensure that programs are delivered on time, within budget, and with high quality.

Duties & Responsibilities  

ESSENTIAL

⢠Develop and implement operational plans for program management, aligning with organizational goals and client needs.
⢠Lead teams and coordinate cross-functional groups to achieve program milestones and deliverables.
⢠Manage program budget, scope, and resources, implementing controls to monitor progress and performance.
⢠Supervise a team of Project Managers within the program and potentially, for larger projects, engage directly in project management activities to enhance client communication and resolve issues.
⢠Develop and implement risk management plans to mitigate program and project risks and ensure program success.
⢠Foster a culture of continuous improvement, applying lessons learned and best practices to enhance organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
⢠Mentor and support Project Managers, fostering professional growth and leadership skills development.
⢠Collaborate with the Portfolio Manager to develop, implement, and manage business level strategy and objectives.
⢠Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications  

REQUIRED

⢠Bachelorâs degree in engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
⢠Extensive experience in program / project management within a technology, automation, robotics, engineering, or similar focused organization.
⢠Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and organizational skills.
⢠Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
⢠Proficiency in project/program management software and methodologies. 
⢠Strong focus on recruiting, development, and retention of high performing team members.
⢠Ability to work in a highly collaborative work environment and function as an effective team member alongside key stakeholders.
⢠A minimum of 5 years as a project manager in an engineering or technology-focused organization.
⢠Ability to travel 20-30% to Oceaneering offices as well as customer sites within the US.

DESIRED

⢠Experience with Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV) or other mobile robotic systems and autonomous logistical systems.
⢠Experience with automotive manufacturing and automation, particularly deployment of such systems.
⢠8+ years as a project manager in an engineering or technology-focused organization.
⢠MA, MBA, or related advanced degree.
⢠PMP or CAPM certification.
