Overview

The Supervisor, Site Assessment will become a strong contributor and make a difference.  You will be responsible for managing all Site Survey related activities assigned for the assigned region by leading a regional team of Site Surveyors to take measurements and data that will determine install eligibility.

Responsibilities

Manage multiple direct-report Site Surveyors

Maintain an accurate and full account of all daily operations including safety, production, downtime, and any incidents for the site surveyors in a district

Monitor surveyor job quality and retrain, as needed, to ensure all surveyors are delivering high-quality surveys. Coordinate retraining with the Site Survey Trainer as needed. 

Coach and develop site surveyors on jobs sites to ensure quality and improve techniques. Assign additional training (e.g. AHJ specific requirements) as needed.

Coordinate with corporate departments on a regular basis (e.g. Electrical/Structural/Home Upgrades teams)

Perform both site surveys and safety inspections, on site, with the site surveyor (e.g., climb a ladder, measure rooftop, etc.). Frequency: Two surveyor visits per week.

Ensure surveyors are meeting expectations by monitoring key performance metrics and making appropriate adjustments when needed.

Proficiency with all types of on-site analyses completed by surveyors

Complete understanding of all Sunrun safety requirements related to all survey processes

Ensure all direct-report surveyors comply with all safety requirements

Demonstrate the proper use of safety equipment to survey team

Initiate disciplinary actions and enforcement via the Workday write-up process

Ensure all new hires complete the Site Surveyor new hire checklist 

Resolve any data review/rejection (ad hoc/go-back) issues in a timely manner

Ensure all scheduled surveys within the assigned district(s) are completed on a daily basis

Complete any additional tasks assigned by the Site Survey organization leadership

Ensure all direct-report surveyors have all required tools and that they are in working order. Replace non-functional equipment in a timely manner. 

Assume the surveyor role when factors such as high-backlog volume or absences require additional on-site support

Regularly review the vehicle cleanliness formstack. 

Regularly travel to assigned offices, host team meetings, provide training and check in with local operations/sales


 

Qualifications 

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

Minimum 2 years experience in construction and management

Construction management degree or similar preferred

Experience in residential solar

Have previous management experience

Have an understanding of the solar design process

Are able to understand and execute on metric reports

Ability to handle problems quickly and efficiently

Excellent communication and organizational skills

Willing to travel in a company vehicle

Able to handle stressful environments

Able to climb up and down a ladder and on a roof

OSHA 10/30 certification preferred

Demonstrated strength with computer skills (i.e. GoogleSuite, MS Excel/Word/, web browsing, etc.)

Clean driving record and must be able to travel by car and plan when necessary


 

Physical Demands

Have full range of mobility in upper and lower body

Be able to work in various positions, including, but not limited to: stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling and squatting for extended periods of time

Be able to lift, pull and push materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks

Be able to lift 50 pounds of weight frequently throughout assigned workday

Ability to set up, secure and climb a 20 foot ladder onto rooftops of various angles and surfaces

Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions

Have adequate visual and hearing acuity to follow instructions; operate machinery and equipment; and determine accuracy of the work assigned

Ability to work for extended periods of time on surfaces of various heights and angles

Operate office equipment including computers

Travel commercially as directed or required

Work safely on construction jobsites, and warehouses
