Your role at Sephora:
As a VP of Engineering, Store Systems, you will: Support the Store Systems architecture with a focus on how best to scale the technical environment. Chart our future technology course and help determine the information technology goals of Store Systems and Sephora. Assist in introducing new technologies and tools. Define roadmap in order to improve existing systems in real-time. Develop, recommend, and implement Sephora’s Store Systems technology strategy. Ensure the scalability, capacity, performance and integration of Store systems. Assess the costs and benefits of new technology. Collaborate with internal leaders in business, product and technical groups, as well as external partners including ISVs and service providers to support Sephora’s growth. Define and prioritize technology enhancements to our roadmap including introduction, refresh, upgrade, and sunsetting. (Position allows some work-from- home flexibility, with schedule to be approved by manager. Must be able to work on site as required.)
Minimum Requirements:
- **Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems.
- Ten (10) years of progressively responsible post-baccalaureate experience in the offered position, as an IT Manager, Senior Architect, or in a related consultant or software development role. (**If no degree or unrelated degree, the employer will accept a total of twelve (12) years of progressively responsible post-baccalaureate experience in the offered position, as an IT Manager, Senior Architect, or in a related consultant or software development role.)
Experience must include:
- Lead technical custom application development and e-commerce projects in all phases of the software development lifecycle;
- Full SDLC from requirements gathering, design, coding, testing to final implementation;
- Use of software technologies including: Java/J2EE, Java Servlets, JavaScript, DHTML, XML, XSL, and CSS;
- Establish architectural and development standards around eCommerce platforms;
- Define, build, and deploy online commerce and self-service applications;
- Resolve integration and interfacing issues between various back-end systems;
- Lead design and code reviews; and
- Develop frameworks for use of new technologies.
Salary: $274,300 to $350,000 per year depending on experience.
