Staff Accountant-Cincinnati, Oh 

Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and a proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain financial records, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Assist with month-end close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making.
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Support external audit activities by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial transactions are properly recorded and reported.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 2 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA certification or progress towards CPA.
  • Experience in financial services industry.
  • Familiarity with tax preparation and compliance.
