Provides legal advice relating to the organization, powers, and functions of the Command; powers and duties of command officials and the delegation of those powers and duties; interpreting and application of law relating to command.
Advises on and conducts legal reviews of command investigations conducted in accordance with AR 15-6 (Army Investigations), AR 735-5 (Financial Liability Investigations of Property Loss), support to IG, EO, and EEO investigations.
Coordinates with the SJA and the servicing Military Justice office to ensure the proper administration and tracking of disciplinary matters.
Provides limited legal advice and assistance to members of the Armed Forces on active duty and subject to the availability of resource, to other eligible personnel regarding their personal legal affairs.
Serves as the Alternate Freedom of Information Officer for ARCYBER, responsible for legal guidance and staff supervision on all information or documents requested under the Freedom of Information Act.
