The Opportunity
The New Product Management Actuary aids the Product and Pricing Team through support of new product development and implementation of Registered Index-Linked Annuities (RILAs), Fixed Indexed Annuities (FIAs), and Fixed Deferred Annuities. As New Product Management Actuary you will build strong relationships and collaborate with Legal, IT, Operations, Sales and Marketing. This position has the ability to be either hybrid out of our downtown Cincinnati office, or 100% remote wherever you may reside in the US.
Job Responsibilities
- Serve as Product Management contact for Legal and Regulatory issues, Operational Exceptions and Flow Reinsurance
- Support new product filings: actuarial memos, Standard Nonforfeiture demos, answer actuarial regulatory questions, etc.
- Assist Legal with product/policy examples for advertising
- Provide actuarial support for Illustrations from a regulatory perspective
- Evaluate/approve operational exceptions
- Manage large case pricing program
- Support actuarial requests for policy value calculations
- Support new product reinsurance as needed
- Identify and implement continuous process improvement
- Maintain extensive knowledge of insurance products, operations, and existing regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Must have obtained ASA
- Current Member of American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA) or attain designation shortly after hire
- 5+ years of actuarial experience
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong organization and problem-solving abilities
- Solid communication skills with emphasis on collaboration among departments including IT, Operations, Legal, Sales, and Marketing
Ideal Qualifications
- Working knowledge of RILAs, FIAs and Fixed Deferred Annuities
