INAMAX is a management consulting firm operating multiple gaming and retail companies across several states. We help our partners successfully manage risk while adding a highly profitable revenue stream and leveraging underutilized space.

Position Summary

The Controller will lead the accounting department. As the leader of the accounting team, the Controller is responsible for continuous development of a strong team, as well as managing the department's deliverables.

 

 The Controller will ensure the timely production of all company financials in accordance with GAAP. The Controller will make recommendations to the executives to help improve our operational efficiency and aid in our continued growth. The Controller will work with our CPA firm to provide all information needed for Tax preparation and year-end Audit.

Key Responsibilities

    • Provide comprehensive financial updates to senior management by evaluating, analyzing, and reporting appropriate data points
    • Guide financial decisions by applying company policies and procedures to current economic landscape
    • Develop, implement, and monitor financial policies, processes and controls to ensure accuracy, efficiency compliance
    • Achieve budgeting goals with proper scheduling, analysis, and corrective action
    • Help develop and support short and long-term operational strategies
    • Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implements a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk
    • Produce the annual budget and forecasts; reports significant budget differences to management
    • Present recommendations to management on short- and long-term financial objectives and policies
    • Assist other departments as they develop strategies, establish objectives, and make decisions that could have a financial impact on the business
  • Hire, train, and motivate accounting staff members while supervising and delegating department tasks
  • Other accounting duties as necessary

Qualifications & Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
    • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience
    • 8+ years of direct P&L responsibilities
    • 6+ years in a management role overseeing direct reports
    • Certified Public Accountant with Public Accounting experience preferred
    • Strong knowledge of GAAP Accounting
    • Strong working knowledge of detailed financial data analysis
    • Extensive experience with ERP systems (e.g., Business Central)
    • Experience with Month End Close, JE’s
    • Experience working in a small or mid-sized companies a plus Advanced in Microsoft Office Suite and Exceptional in Excel
