Overview:
The Company Local Purveyor in Training will be responsible for learning and assisting in all aspects of a local distribution network for the Boar's Head Brand. This individual will progress through various aspects of being a local purveyor, including operations, warehousing, ordering, merchandising, selling, and cultivating relationships with retail customers. The goal would be to prepare this individual for an opportunity to potentially become a Local Purveyor in the future.

Job Description:

Responsibilities will include assisting in and learning:
Placing the warehouse order weekly.Managing all warehouse personnel. Receiving trailers and processing associated paperwork.Proper rotation of all inventory in the warehouse and on the truck.Loading all trucks and ensuring proper overnight plug-ins.Manage all short-coded products.Involved in all weekly inventories (including POS materials) and monthly weighted inventories.Maintaining the warehouse, equipment, and trucks.Familiarity with products, identification, case counts, and other product knowledge.End of Day settlement procedures, sales, inventory, credit, cash, etc.Training Deli Sales Associates behind the counter.Merchandising and demonstrating productSupporting company initiatives (e.g. promotions, new item launches).Delivering all aspects of Grand Opening requirements as identified in the GO handbook.Attending classes, lectures, and seminars for further training as deemed necessary.

Requirements:
4-year degree or equivalent experience required.3+ years of management experience.Proven leadership skills within an organization or business unitSome OT, weekend, and holiday work is required.May be required to obtain CDL for delivery purposes.3-5 years of food or distribution experienceRelocation flexibility is a plus
