This is an Excepted Service position. This appointment will not confer Competitive Service career-conditional or career tenure status. Applicants who voluntarily convert from the competitive service, Senior Executive Service, or other pay systems to a non-time limited appointment under this excepted service authority are not afforded "fallback rights" to the pay system previously assigned prior to conversion.

As a Supervisory Intelligence Research Specialist, you will:
Provide expert technical management, evaluates, plans, coordinates, controls and directs counterintelligence (CI) operations and countermeasures regarding all intelligence and intelligence related policy, goals, objectives and procedures.
Plan, coordinate, research and conduct national-level assessments or studies and open-source collection in order to provide value-added contributions
Provide all-source Strategic CI analysis; counter-intelligence vetting, and intelligence support to the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS).
Assess CI risk from all foreign engagements with DOE, identify threats to targeted technologies within the DOE/NNSA enterprise; and manages DOE's IC input to the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS).
Assign work to subordinates based upon priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of assignments, and the capabilities of employees.
