Job Title: Lead VDC/BIM Specialist

Location: Salt Lake City, UT

Purpose of Position: As the Lead VDC/BIM Specialist with our client, you will work closely with the VDC/BIM Manager, handling BIM tasks and resources for assigned projects. Your role will ensure that the Engineer’s intent and operational input are translated into a constructible model, coordinating with other trades and meeting project deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Manage and direct VDC/BIM Specialists, ensuring adherence to project requirements and best practices.
  • Quality Control: Oversee the quality of BIM production and maintain the BIM schedule related to construction and coordination.
  • Project Coordination: Attend internal and coordination meetings, working with the Operations team to create coordinated models and constructable drawings.
  • Continuous Improvement: Support department initiatives, including new workflow development, software piloting, and strategic planning.
  • Knowledge of Trimble systems and able to load and shoot points

Qualifications:

  • Technical Expertise: Proficient in BIM software (NavisWorks, Revit, AutoCAD) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of Mechanical installations and general construction, with field experience preferred.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage tasks for a team while meeting deadlines.
  • Adaptability: Flexible and responsive to sudden demands, with strong teamwork and communication skills..
