Principal Technical Product Owner - Pharmacovigilance Reporting & Analytics

In this vital role you will play a pivotal role in driving transformation and innovation, advancing Pharmacovigilance reporting and analytics within the next generation of reporting platforms and enterprise technologies. You will lead end-to-end service delivery, drive transformation, and shape the roadmap and strategy, with a focus on enhancing data analytics and reporting initiatives for the Global Patient Safety organization.
Responsibilities include:
Takes a leadership role in the management of the product team and CWs by educating, motivating, and guide in the implementation and maintenance of this service delivery to enrich business area strategy as a whole
Leads business and system capability planning and roadmap for PV global data and reporting analytics
Responsible for portfolio and financial management including securing funds, RFPs, exploration of solution options, forecasting, demand/resource planning vendor management and run/build operations for reporting
Works with business, product teams, data and insights & enterprise reporting/architecture teams to architect, design, prototype, and develop solutions that enable quality decisions for reporting
Keeps up to date on new industry and emerging technology which can provide advantage and interrupt the process impact of new PV tools and processes
Responsible for leading audit/inspection support
Oversees, mentors, and nurtures a dedicated team comprised of business analysts, data engineers and developers
Participates as a domain expert for PV systems. Plays a meaningful role in many multi-functional corporate Amgen initiatives with various partners, service owners, and technical teams from all organizations globally impacting Safety
Supports management and prioritization of process improvement and innovation initiatives

Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree and 2 years of Information Systems experience
Or
Master’s degree and 4 years of Information Systems experience
Or
Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of Information Systems experience
Or
Associate’s degree and 10 years of Information Systems experience
Or
High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Information Systems experience
Preferred Qualifications
10+ years of IT Industry work experience in Analysis, Design, Development, Testing and Maintenance of software applications in Health & Life Sciences with various types of Software Development Lifecycle methodologies
5+ years of domain knowledge in Pharmacovigilance process and systems, Computer Systems Validation including FDA 21 CFR Part 11, GxP compliance and validation in a regulated environment
Solid grasp of ArisGlobal LifeSphere MultiVigilance Platform or Oracle Argus Safety and Insight or another PV reporting platform
Ability to set expectations with business partners and effectively use governance for a positive business partner experience
Strong communications skills in writing, speaking, presenting to various audiences in a clear and concise manner
3+ years' experience in managing and building product teams in data analytics, reporting and visualization
Demonstrable ability to influence and work well with C-level executives to drive business value
Experience working in a product-focused organization while keeping the focus on clients
Experience with Cognos, Tableau, Power BI and Spotfire
Knowledgeable about ETL technologies (Informatica & Data Bricks) & new technologies for Machine Learning, NLP/NLG, Cognitive Analytics etc.)
Experienced in database programming languages, concepts, including Oracle SQL skills & PL/SQL
A passion for working with data at scale and empowering organizations through data and analytics
Knowledge of Architecting Data and Analytics and visualization solutions on cloud (AWS or Other such as Snowflake)
Experienced with DevOps, Continuous Delivery, and SAFe Agile product development
Ability to empower people and instill ownership, reliability, teamwork, and dedication in the team
Must be creative, have high learning agility to solve problems and solutions with the intent to understand and solve better

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
