We are looking for a Quality Manager to join our Operations Leadership team. This position reports to the Site Director and will drive the development and execution of both the strategic and operational quality plan.

This leadership role will also be responsible for ensuring we continuously optimize and elevate our quality systems and methods for manufacturing, final inspection and new product development activities.

YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO: 

  • Supervise and develop a team of engineers, technicians and inspectors.

  • Collaborate with production, engineering and other departments to ensure quality standards are met throughout the product lifecycle.

  • Oversee capability studies, pFMEA and control plans for new and revised parts.

  • Represent the Quality department in cross-functional meetings.

  • Present findings, analytics, data, recommendations and programs/projects to leadership.

  • Investigate, drive and resolve quality issues that could prevent delivery of the operational business plan.

  • Provide recommendations for both mid to long term strategic quality initiatives inclusive of statistical process control of selected processes.

  • Prepare a proposed and prioritized annual expense and CAPEX budget that best leverages the quality team’s financial and human resources in order to meet/exceed our operational objectives

  • Facilitate internal corrective action reports using structured problem solving (KT Problem Analysis, 8D).

  • Oversee continuous improvement projects using appropriate DMAIC and Lean methods.

 

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES: 

Required:

  • 8+ years of experience in a quality role in a manufacturing environment.

  • 2+ years experience in a leadership role with direct reports. 

  • Proven track record of influencing at all levels of an organization.

  • Experience contributing to the operational plan and communicating ideas to key stakeholders.

  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills with the ability to review systems and identify potential issues.

  • Proficiency with KT Problem Analysis, 8D, and DMAIC methodology.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering 

  • CMM experience (prefer experience with Calypso & PCDMIS)

  • Certification in quality management (Six Sigma, Lean, etc)
