What you’ll do as a Corporate Environmental Health and Safety Specialist
- Assist, coordinate, and conduct various EHS training for the Lesaffre home office, bake center and culinary center employees
- Conduct various safety and environmental inspections and audits; assist with the corporate safety audit program
- Assist in the management of all safety and environmental programs
- Assist in facilitating the office and remote safety committees
- Develop and implement new programs, improvement projects, and procedures
- Be a resource for employees regarding safety improvement ideas, procedure revisions, PPE requirements/compliance, and general safety related questions
- Aid in the management of the EHS data management system
- Assist in the operation of the site’s Behavioral Based Safety Programs
- Assist with the preparation, storage, and disposal of the site’s universal and hazardous waste streams
- Complete monthly reports on the facilities’ safety performance metrics
- Facilitate the maintenance of the corporate safety training system utilized at the enterprise level for North America
- Travel occasionally (10-20%) to domestic manufacturing plants to complete safety-related activities
- Other duties as assigned
Required qualifications:
- A Bachelors degree in Industrial Safety/Technology or a related field
- 3 or more years of experience as an EHS professional experience
- Comfortability with facilitating virtual and in-person trainings as well as leading meetings
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word, and Outlook
- Familiarity with OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and ANSI regulations and standards
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience fully leading projects from start to finish
- Manufacturing experience
- Experience with Power BI and EHS software
