Weekend option position on Friday/Saturday/Sunday from 7:30 am to 8:00 pm- additional shift differentials plus hourly base rate.
The team of Mental Health Technicians provide quality psychiatric nursing care. Our approach is centered on interventions designed to provide appropriate care for each individual consumer and to assist them in reaching goals demonstrated in their specialized wellness plan. Clients range in age from preadolescents (3-12), adolescents (13-17) and adults 18 and older, including geriatrics. In order to thrive in this role you must be comfortable working closely with people who have acute behavioral health needs. Full-time, benefit-eligible position, 36 hours weekly, working Friday/Saturday/Sunday.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - JOB SPECIFIC
* Provides age appropriate care for psychiatric patients
* Requires bending, lifting, and transporting patients
* Possesses skills to provide patient groups
* Completes a minimum of 52 educational activities per year
* Provides feedback to focus on enhancing patient care in peer evaluations
* Acts as a preceptor and mentor to new employees as needed
* Participates on interdisciplinary team by providing patient information and recommendations to the
Treatment Team
* Communicates appropriately with patients and co-workers
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High School/GED preferred
WORK EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
At least one (1) year of psychiatric or nursing experience preferred
