The EPA Information Management Center Services IV contract, ASRC Federal Mission Services, a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, is seeking a Records Information Manager 3 who will support our nationwide contract to provide records management support to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in RTP, NC, for a period lasting two to three years. Duties include the use of a records management system (database) for search, retrieval, and data entry, applying records retention schedules to files for the purposes of retention, archiving and disposition, and preparation and review of file plans. Responding to customer inquiries, participate in records organization projects, provide basic records training, and assists with records imaging. Assisting colleagues with preparing and shipping large batches of records to off-site storage, maintains daily activity statistics, and produces monthly activity reports. The ideal candidate should be organized and detail oriented.

This position requires

Three years records management experience, including filing paper and electronic records, entering data into records management systems, preparing records for disposition or retiring, and usage of records retention schedules.

  • BA/BS strongly preferred.

  • Customer service skills, and strong organizational skills with attention to detail required.

  • Experience with MS Office

  • Ability to work independently and on teams, to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers, to prioritize and manage multiple on-going projects, to quickly adapt to change, and to meet deadlines.

  • Physical requirements include: full range of arm motion, including lifting above the head, ability to bend, stoop and kneel, ability to routinely lift and carry 40 lbs. in weight, to push or pull 200 lbs. on carts, to push or pull 1200 lbs. via pallet jack, ability to use step ladders to reach materials on upper shelves. Candidate should also be comfortable sitting at computer workstation for long periods of time.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working with federal record schedules.

Additional Qualifications:

  • US Citizenship or US Permanent Resident status in order to pass a government sponsored background investigation.
