CHSN is seeking a Sales Planner. This position will work closely with the sales team to ensure effective placement of sales inventory including but not limited to writing up advertising orders, generating support materials for the sales team, coordinating sales graphics, enhancements and features and assisting with sales revenue reporting and forecasting. The Sales Planner will work closely with the entire sales department, with the traffic department, the graphics department and with the executive producer for the team live broadcasts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Write up all advertising sales orders for the traffic department
  • Coordinate the insertion and airing of graphics, enhancements and features with various station departments
  • Work with the GSM to report and forecast sales revenue on a weekly basis
  • Work with the sales staff to schedule make-goods and review monthly billing
  • Assist the Sales management team with department related reporting
  • Work with the sales assistants from the three teams to coordinate various duties related to sales commercial integration with the teams
  • Foster a culture within the advertising sales department of creativity, teamwork, productivity, empowerment and adherence to the network’s core values

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
  • 1+ years' experience working in a media sales environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines 
  • Skilled communicator with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders simultaneously
  • Proficient with Excel, PowerPoint, Word
  • Knowledge of television station traffic systems preferred
  • Occasional nights and weekend client entertainment and hospitality required

The Chicago Sports Network (CHSN) will launch in October across multiple platforms. The network will air more than 300 live games annually and include pre-and post-game coverage while showing multisport programming 24 hours a day. CHSN will broadcast from studios located in both Chicago’s United Center and Guaranteed Rate Field. The Network will begin airing Blackhawk and Bulls games in October and White Sox games beginning in 2025.
