Overview

The ED Nurse Manager is a Registered Nurse who is responsible and accountable for the daily operations of the Emergency Department. The ED Nurse Manager is responsible for staff competency, staff education, and managing internal departmental issues.  The ED Nurse Manager will practice within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act of the State of Arkansas, and the policies, procedures, and standards of Conway Regional Health System.  The ED Nurse Manager demonstrates a commitment to teamwork within the ED and outside the unit through effective collaborative efforts. The ED Nurse Manager will divide their time equally between patient care in the ED and office responsibilities.


Qualifications

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Registered Nurse with current, active license to practice in Arkansas, required
    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing required
    • Professional Board Certification must be obtained within two years of hire date
    • Proof of high school or equivalent or higher education
    • Basic keyboarding skills, preferred
    • Three (3) years Emergency Nursing experience
    • One (1) year Charge Nurse experience

Other education and experience may be substituted (if applicable) for the required minimum job qualifications with the approval of the Corporate Director of Human Resources.
