Howmet Aerospace is currently looking a Casting Process Owner to join our Casting Facility located in Dover, New Jersey.

JOB SUMMARY

Position is responsible for ensuring that the Casting processes are performed in compliance with the methods, materials and equipment specifications as detailed in the corporate manual.

ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH & SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES 
Expected to assist in the implementation of Howmet’s EHS value and policy statement and its accompanying principles.Comply with all department, facility, Corporate and Regulatory EH&S regulations.Wear all required personal protective equipment.Report all job related illness and injuries. (Per employee handbook).Report all Safety, Health & Environmental concerns to your supervisor in a timely manner.Attend all EH&S training as required.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Approve all new and revised instructions in the Casting area. Responsible for determination of the root cause of any deviation from critical process specifications and provide technical support to Process Engineering to resolve cast related issues. Responsible for reporting the critical process status on daily and monthly basis to the Corporate Casting Business Unit Casting Owner.Responsible for control and approval of all casting Product Criteria routines.Responsible for daily interface and communication of issues with manufacturing, maintenance, facilities personnel responsible for the casting areasResponsible for understanding downstream product quality as it relates to casting and react appropriately to observed conditions. Institute proper project monitoring, follow up and feedback system to insure financial and contract targets are met.  (yields, rework).Foster continuous improvement utilizing Process management designed experiments, IPM and SPC, Cpk.Demonstrates considerable ingenuity and creativity while recognizing prudent risk.As a recognized expert in the casting process technology area, provide technical guidance to management and peers in areas of current or potential needs of the plant.Routinely review process for adherence to established techniques and to ensure the repeatability of approved process.

Basic Requirements:
This position entails access to export-controlled items and employment offers are conditioned upon an applicant's ability to lawfully obtain access to such items.​Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.B.S. in Engineering plus 2 years engineering experience
Preferred Requirements:
Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written)B.S. in Materials, Mechanical, or Metallurgical EngineeringAbility to work in a self-directed or team environment with strong organizational skills 5 years of experience in investment casting preferably as a process engineerBlack belt/Green belt certification Knowledge of statistical software (Minitab, JMP)Knowledge of programing software (SQL, Visual Basic)Working knowledge of statistical analysis Strong analytical abilitiesAbility to write reports, business correspondence, and create project plans.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from the customer and/or management.
