Your Role at Baxter

Responsible for global supply chain of finished good products including demand and supply planning and distribution of products. Responsible for managing more complex products, which have significant business impact. May manage planners who implement planning and purchasing processes or plan/purchase products themselves. Provides leadership and drives strategic direction through management of planning activities, processes, and data/information and systems. Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives that optimize inventory turns, service levels, improve profitability, and support dynamic changes in market conditions.

What you'll be doing
  • Develop, implement, and execute strategic materials management processes in support of supply chain and business objectives
  • Meets with suppliers to discuss issues, performance, and future strategies. Evaluates supplier processes and partners with suppliers to establish Best in Class performance.
  • Responsible to represent site at S&OP/Operating Review meetings - identify business critical issues and facilitate discussion and decision making in support of goals & objectives
  • Accountable for optimizing inventory turns - minimize excess & obsolete inventory through product life cycle management
  • Accountable for enhancing service levels, in conjunction with inventory goals, through distribution requirement planning and deployments
  • Lead and facilitate cross functional teams in support of critical initiatives both within the supply chain organization and across the business units
  • Responsible to provide management with inventory and backorder projections and proactively identifies service level issues.

What you'll bring
  • BS in Operations/Logistics of similar degree; 4+ years related experience; MBA preferred.
  • APICS certification preferred.
  • Complete, in-depth understanding of all aspects of the business including profitability, inventory turns and service levels
  • Ability to do analysis of tradeoffs between business objectives - ability to think systemically.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Embraces change, challenges status quo and makes recommendations for improvements to products and processes. Creates tools that help simplify job tasks and shares these with others.
  • Requires the ability to change the thinking of, or gain acceptance of, others in sensitive situations
  • Gets results through team leadership and self.
  • Proven presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to communicate across multiple levels of the organization
  • Capable of analyzing and solving complex problems through innovative thought.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $96,000 to $132,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
