Job Duties and Responsibilities
1. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, to include weekends and holidays, if required.
2. Arrive to work on time, consistently.
3.Upon entering the property, arrive in proper attire.
4. Hair must be clean and cut in a becoming style; management has final approval.
5. Attend all required training, safety courses, and office and departmental meetings.
6. Report any safety hazards, follow up that hazard has been corrected, and assist with providing a safe work environment. Follow all company safety procedures.
7. Greet members and guests by name whenever possible. Make every effort to learn names of familiar members and guests. See that their requests are executed as completely and promptly as possible.
8. Must have knowledge of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and keep up with new information.
9. Maintain the services and reputation of the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club and act as a representative to group clients as well as the community.
10. Develop a complete understanding of the physical layout and the organizational structure of the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club. Fully understanding how the various departments relate to each other in the successful service of our members/guests.
11. Have a detailed knowledge of what Ponte Vedra and Jacksonville have to offer our members/guests; have a general knowledge of what would be interesting around the State for our members/guests.
12. Act as the liaison between the club and the members/guests. Allowing for observations and suggestions to be heard and passed on to the appropriate department and/or individual.
13. Establish and maintain an atmosphere of cordiality between the Club and its members/guests.
14. Meet weekly with Department Manager to review and report the status of the department.
15. Perform and follow up on any other duties as assigned by the Surf Club Manager.
