In this role you will:

  • Identify public engagement and outreach needs for our client projects, including the development of client or project specific Communications and Engagement Plans.

  • Develop strategies to clearly communicate project information to internal and external stakeholders, including schedules, site or route selection processes, and engineering needs, using a variety of platforms from traditional publications to social media.

  • Coordinate and participate in the development of outreach materials to client standards.

  • Interact with regulators, local stakeholders, client development teams, and internal Jacobs team members in the local office and remotely.

  • Participate and coordinate set up of in-person and virtual open house platforms to provide project information to the public and solicit for comments.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in communications, Public Policy, or related field

  • 15+ years of experience in a related field in electric transmission, renewables, offshore wind, or related power industry

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Microsoft Office products.

  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong organizational skills, a collaborative approach, and proven consensus-building ability

  • Applicable certifications: Certified Public Participation Professional (CP3), Master Certified Public Participation Professional (MCP3), or similar.
