Job Overview

A $2billion AUM real estate firm located in the San Francisco region, is looking for a VP of Business Development focused on private wealth to join the team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a driven individual with a strong background in fundraising from family offices, Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs), and high net worth individuals (HNWIs).

As the VP of Business Development, you will play a crucial role in expanding our network of investors and raising capital for our real estate projects. You will work closely with the executive team to develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies, leveraging your existing relationships and actively cultivating new ones within the target investor segments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, engage, and build relationships with family offices, RIAs, and HNWIs to secure capital for real estate projects
  • Develop and execute fundraising strategies, including creating compelling pitch materials, presentations, and investment opportunities
  • Conduct market research to identify potential investors and stay updated on industry trends
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment on investment objectives, project timelines, and investor requirements
  • Act as a trusted advisor to investors, providing accurate and timely information, and addressing their inquiries and concerns
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to expand our investor network

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
  • Proven track record of successfully raising capital from family offices, RIAs, and HNWIs for real estate or investment projects
  • Extensive network of contacts within the target investor segments
  • Strong understanding of the real estate industry, including current market trends and investment opportunities
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain long-term relationships
  • Highly motivated, proactive, and results-oriented individual with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
