Role and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

** Starting rate: $27.00 per hour

The Pastry Supervisor is responsible for supporting the resorts overall culinary vision in all aspects of desserts and baking. The primary duty of the Pastry Supervisor is to prepare, maintain, and oversee production of high quality pastries, cookies, breads, cakes and desserts for the hotel based on established guidelines. Collaborate with Executive Pastry Chef with development of new menus ideas, executes and follows recipes. Previous experience in pastry banquet and outlet production including prep, executing menu set up for parties, garnishing and finishing desserts by set time. Works in a clean and organized manner and conduct his or herself in a positive professional manner.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of previous high volume & luxury experience
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings and holidays.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and lead a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Candidate should be able to perform basic cooking skills.
  • Ability to meet and exceed guests' needs in a timely manner.
  • Refined verbal communication skills
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to perform at a high level unsupervised.
  • Quality experience in computer skills.
  • Ability to lift, pull and push a moderate weight (about 50 pounds)
