Coordinate, supervise and serve, under the supervision of the RSM, as the Region subject matter expert for General Process and Food Safety and sanitation functions and to ensure corporate compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations while simultaneously providing a safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities

Resides as the expert in PSM, OSHA, and FDA compliance and regulationsSets the tone for ensuring all team members are current with training requirements of companyOversees Corporate Safety Incentives and programs managed effectively and consistently, including assignment of Safety PointsEnsures all safety manuals, programs, policies and practices are current and meet the needs of the facilitiesEnsures all new hires receive adequate safety onboarding trainingEvaluate health and safety practice and procedures for risk assessment and following legal guidelinesConduct accident prevention training and health and safety trainingInspect equipment for unsafe workplace conditionsAudit facilities for all applicable workplace safety standardsMonitor employee conformity to safety laws and policiesEnsure all power equipment operators are trained and certifiedOther duties as assigned

Requirements

Knowledge of job related computer software and applications such as EPSM and SDS (MSDS Online Incident Management) or similar productsKnowledge of OSHA, EPA and Code of Federal RegulationsOSHA 10 Hour, OSHA 30 Hour and/or OSHA General Duty courses preferred WHM142 Associate Regional Safety Manager May 2021 Skills & QualificationsAbility to remain calm and focused while prioritizing requests from multiple sourcesAbility to maintain and ensure confidentiality of team member and company informationAccuracy and attention to detailProficient in computer usage to include email, word processing, spreadsheetsKnowledge of computer software and applicationsAbility to accommodate flexible schedules to meet the needs of the customer to include overtime, nights, weekends and holidays as requiredAbility to Travel within Region Physical Demands/EquipmentMust be able to lift up to 25 lbs occasionallyMust be able to sit on an almost continual basis and stand, walk, bend, or squat on an occasional basis in a normal office environmentAbility to utilize equipment for the job (such as computers, cell phone, copiers, scanners, printers, etc.) Frequent to continual usage of keyboard and monitor.

In accordance with the Pay Transparency requirements, the following represents a good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position. At BJ’s Wholesale Club, we carefully consider a wide range of non-discriminatory factors when determining salary. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience, and qualifications. The pay range for this position is starting from $66,000.00.
