Technical Program Manager, WWPS Innovation Engineering

Amazon Web Services is seeking a Technical Program Manager to partner with a team of system, software, and security engineers to continue build and operation of our expanding internal corporate Controlled Working Environment (CWE) in support of US and global governments. AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.
*Arlington, VA, USA | San Francisco, CA, USA - 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience leading a team of System, Infrastructure, and/or Security engineers as technical lead on large projects
- Experience leading software development efforts (e.g., Agile) to build automation, testing, and/or monitoring tools using Python, Java, or Ruby
- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- 5+ years of experience with web protocols and Linux/Unix tools and architecture
- Experience maintaining distributed systems and web services
- Understanding of design for scalability, performance and reliability
