Description

CHI Franciscan Rehabilitation Hospital 60-bed inpatient Rehab hospital to serve patients recovering from strokes, brain and spinal-cord injuries, amputations, complex orthopedic injuries, and other conditions. The hospital is a joint venture partnership between CHI Franciscan Health and Kindred Healthcare and located in Tacoma, Washington.

 

As an  Speech & Language Pathologist  your responsibilities will include: 

  • Direct application of speech / language pathology treatment modalities

  • Evaluating, planning, directing and treating patients referred for speech / language treatment

  • Participating in interdisciplinary activities such as performance improvement projects, infection control and safety programs, team meetings and conferences, etc.

  • Providing instruction and education to patients' family members and other caregivers as well as to other members of the inter-disciplinary team

  • Documenting patient care in accordance with hospital, regulatory, licensing, payer and accrediting requirements

Qualifications

Our PRN rate is $50 per hour. 

As a  Speech and Language Pathologist you will need to have:

  • Current Washington State Licensure as a Speech and Language Pathologist

  • Master's Degree from an accredited speech and language pathology program

  • Minimum of six months speech and language pathology experience preferred - Past Clinical Fellowship

  • Current Basic Life Support (CPR) certification

  • Strong organizational, teamwork and communication skills
