Inpatient Pharmacy Technician II Supply Chain and Compounding

The Certified Pharmacy Technician’s primary duties will include sterile compounding of category 2 and category 3 products under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
Working hours will rotate between days, evenings, and weekends.
This position qualifies for our Pharmacy Technician Incentive Program, which includes $5000 in commitment incentives spread over a two-year period. Learn more about the Pharmacy Technician Incentive Program here:
Fulfills medication and supply orders for distribution to hospitals and clinics within and/or affiliated with the health-system.
# Coordinates shipments to hospitals and clinics with multiple couriers and shipment pathways and ensures compliance with temperature requirements (i.e., Documents pharmaceutical distribution activities for medications and equipment, quality control requirements, etc. Ensures accuracy of data.
# Responds to and triages requests from customers for assistance with pharmacy distribution or compounding services.
# Utilizes automated dispensing technology and associated software to fulfill medication orders.
# Receives, restocks, and rotates inventory, and completes expiration date management.
# Assists with training of new employees, educating them in job-specific functions.
# Contributes to process improvement projects.
# Participates in regulatory compliance inspection of medication storage areas, including inspections and/or controlled substance inventories, USP (2023) and other regulatory documentation as required.
Completion of an academic pharmacy technician training program preferred.
Registration with the NC Board of Pharmacy unless enrolled in a PharmD program.
·Prior pharmacy technician experience is preferred.
~Requires standing and walking for extended periods (most of an 8-hour shift).
Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
