Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems sector is currently hiring a Manager Systems Engineering 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The Manager will work in the Product Support organization leading a team in System Reliability & Maintainability (R&M) Engineering. The manager will be responsible for establishing and verifying subsystem R&M performance requirements for all design changes and new development efforts to ensure Reliability and Maintainability) program requirements are achieved. As a member of the Product Support functional management team, the Manager will be responsible for activities such as staffing, recruiting, employee development, performance management, and technical discipline development.
Oversight and management of R&M analyses and tasks (predictions, FMECA, FRACAS, Reliability Growth, etc.)
Management of budget, schedule, and risks
Regular interaction with senior internal and external customers on technical matters
Performance management including goal setting, performance appraisals and issue resolution.
Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND 9 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering, OR a Master’s degree AND 7 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering.
Demonstrated financial management skills including development and control of program budgets, schedules, Estimate at Complete (EAC), and the ability to recognize and capture program changes.
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
Master’s Degree in Engineering.
Must have at least 5 years of experience in Reliability and Maintainability engineering.
Previous engineering experience performing R&M analyses.
Prior experience training and mentoring new hires.
