JOB SUMMARY

The VP, Luxury Food and Beverage is the business leader and architect for luxury food, beverage, and culinary strategy globally. The position will work closely with global operations, global brand leadership and continent operations and brand leadership to develop a food and beverage strategy that elevates Marriott’s luxury brands through exciting and buzz worthy experiences that drive revenue, profit, and PR. This leader, in concert with others, will drive concept and design, operational excellence, partnership strategies, PR and marketing and build a culture of culinary expertise. This position should be a change agent, thought leader, highly motivated, and a strong business leader. The position will focus on six brands including The Ritz-Carlton, Ritz-Carlton Reserve, St. Regis, The Luxury Collection, W Hotels and JW Marriott.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience Required

  • 4-year degree from an accredited university
  • 10+ years of relevant professional experience in food and beverage, demonstrating progressive career growth and pattern of exceptional performance
  • 8+ years of global luxury brand experience
  • Experience creating and developing successful food and beverage concepts for luxury outlets
  • Experience building breakthrough brands
  • Experience managing and defining transformational strategies

Education and Experience Preferred

  • Advanced degree

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

GLOBAL STRATEGY AND LEADERSHIP - Partner with global and continent operations leadership to develop and activate a restaurant and bar architecture and strategy that elevates Marriott’s luxury portfolio. Collaborate with cross-functional headquarters and continent teams, including brand management, design, marketing, sales, and development, to ensure alignment on objectives, priorities, and execution.

BRAND ELEVATION AND STRATEGY – Coordinate with global luxury brand leadership to design food and beverage experiences and strategies that elevate brand positioning and performance.

DISCIPLINE LEADERSHIP - Lead the luxury portfolio’s F&B discipline to bring the brands to life through unique, distinctive and on-strategy culinary and beverage experiences. Lead the luxury F&B team and provide direction and plans that align with broader luxury priorities. Lead a team of high-performing discipline experts to develop superior guest experiences. Create a team environment that encourages creativity, innovation, accountability, and high standards.

RESTAURANT CONCEPT AND DESIGN – Provide executive guidance and coordination of restaurant concept, design and program development to deliver distinctive, locally relevant, high performing restaurants and bars. Use market research and consumer insight to influence programming and product development. This effort is coordinated with owners, continent leadership, and third-party consultants.

MARKETING AND PR - Create buzz and excitement for the luxury restaurant and bar experiences that drive PR, content, ADR growth and profit. Focus on content creation, recognition, and innovation to create distinction.

OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE - Drive operational excellence and the highest standards of culinary, service, programming, and bar operations. Work with brand, continent and owner and franchise services to manage off strategy and brand detractor outlets.

PARTNERSHIPS - Oversee F&B third-party partnership strategy and create a framework to support F&B elevation through partners when appropriate.

PROGRAM MANAGEMENT – Oversee luxury food and beverage programming that supports brand positioning and core brand elements such as The Ritz-Carlton Club Lounge, St. Regis Rituals, W Wet Deck, and others. Ensure standards are in place and current to execute and sustain programs consistently and at the highest levels globally. Lead research and development of concepts, standards, systems, and tools to ensure appropriate and ongoing refinement of brand positioning.

New York Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $212,561 to $396,781 annually.
