Since its founding in 1986, Student Sponsor Partners (SSP) has been providing private high school education and mentorship to economically and educationally disadvantaged students. Thousands of students are supported by a sponsor and a mentor and attend private partner high schools located in New York City.
As an Engagement Manager at Student Sponsor Partners, you will play a pivotal role in student support, relationship management, and data and systems for case management. Your days will be filled with opportunities to provide guidance and support to students, build and nurture partnerships with students, families, and schools, and utilize data and systems to ensure efficient and effective case management. To excel in the role of an Engagement Manager at Student Sponsor Partners, a successful candidate must possess a diverse set of skills and qualities. The ideal candidate will be passionate about school-based work and dedicated to supporting students' emotional, physical, social, and academic well-being. Experience with research methods and data analysis is advantageous, while exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills are essential. Strong organizational and project management abilities, combined with analytical thinking and attention to detail, are critical for effective case management.
Leadership skills, a customer-centric approach, and empathetic communication are key for building strong relationships with students, mentors, and partners. Demonstrating good judgment, balancing multiple projects, coordinating workload efficiently, and maintaining confidentiality are also crucial in this dynamic and collaborative environment. Proficiency in MS Office and a commitment to SSP's mission and values are fundamental for success in this role.
