Job Title: Engineering Technician - EMI (Electromagnetic Interference) Test Technician
The L3 Harris company is seeking motivated and talented electromagnetic interference (EMI) TEST technicians to join the L3 Harris EMI electrical design engineering core group.
Our team is currently hiring for Test technicians interested in joining us.
As a member of our team, you will be part of a diverse multi-disciplined team of technicians and engineers operating in a highly agile environment using the latest tools and methodologies develop your technical competence as well as developing your leadership skills at a company with huge potential for long term career growth. The EMI/EMC TEST technician will be responsible for the execution of various EMI and power quality test activities alongside an engineer for a multitude of systems ranging from submersible to space platforms recognized around the world. The EMI/EMC technician will also support niche fields related to Power Variation (MIL-STD-704), Multipaction, and TEMPEST on products being developed throughout L3Harris. This position provides an excellent opportunity to develop new solutions, help grow as the next generation of EMI/EMC Technicians with a career path leading to the submittal of a candidacy for a position in the L3 Harris technical fellowship program.
Perform EMI Qualification test campaigns on cutting edge programs
Coordinate test equipment availability for verification of EMI design requirements with teammates, customers, and system architects through the qualification and sustainment of various L3 Harris systems
Perform EMI/EMC, DO-160, MIL-STD-704 Power Quality, HIRF, Lightning, RF co-site and antenna coupling testing
Apply EMI engineering technology experience to document and solve complex problems
Ability and willingness to travel as needed
Ability to obtain a US DOD Secret Security Clearance
Current or prior experience performing EMI/EMC testing
Active US DOD Secret Security Clearance
International Association for Radio Telecommunications and Electromagnetics (iNARTE) MIL-STD-461 certification
