A Day in the Life of the Building of the Future -

~ Plant Operations

Has a working knowledge of AutoCAD and Drafting standards and applies them towards the execution of Sales Orders or ECNs. Capable of creating and modifying diagrams, piece part drawings and simple assemblies. Has a basic understanding of electrical symbology, geometric dimensioning, and tolerance principles. 
Develop wiring diagrams using AutoCAD Electrical 2024 (Bentley, Plant 3D or Inventor experience a plus).
Develop 2D plan, elevation and section drawings of control panels using AutoCAD Electrical. Includes mounting components, terminal blocks, associative dimensioning and avoiding interference between equipment.
Develop and implement designs for conduit and/or cable tray installations.
Develop bills of material using MS Access database and web-based configuration tools.
Work with Operations group personnel to answer questions, make corrections, etc.
Requires an AS degree or equivalent from college or technical school or two (2) years related experience in electrical machinery design. Requires CAD education or equivalent experience. Personal computer working capabilities include email, browser, MS Word, MS Excel, etc.
