Raytheon is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II whose primary responsibilities include supporting manufacturing production hardware in the Cable fabrication value stream for various radar and missile programs. This position requires close cooperation with the Operations team and other engineering disciplines including Product Design, Test Development and Test Engineering. Interpret manufacturing requirements, develop and maintain Manufacturing Data Packages (MDPs), and document manufacturing practices

* Support daily manufacturing areas with process troubleshooting and incorporating Engineering changes into the MDPs

* Disposition non-conforming material with root cause and correction action analysis as required

* Travel as required

* Generate Change Requests (CRs) on technical issues relating to the production manufacturing process

* Drive Continuous Improvement through process improvements to improve cycle time, reduce ergonomic risk to assemblers, automate, reduce costs (both direct and indirect), using Six Sigma principles and data driven decision making

* Raytheon products in a vertically integrated factory

* How to use area equipment and job specific tools

* Raytheon policies and procedures

*Typically requires a Bachelor’s in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced degree.

* S. security clearance. S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

*Experience with cable fabrication including point to point, branched harnesses, and radio frequency

* A continuous improvement mindset to enhance manufacturing methods through process modernization

* Sound understanding of statistical analysis techniques

* Demonstrated success working in a fast paced manufacturing environment

* Proficient use of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Word, OneNote)

* Active SECRET clearance
