Data Platform Lead

As a Data Services, Compliance & Operations Chapter Leader, you blend deep Data & Engineering expertise with a passion for coaching, mentoring, and developing associates. In an agile structure you will collaborate with other leaders to establish the standards for your chapter, influence the strategic decisions and build solutions in your expertise. You are committed to helping them grow and develop in their knowledge area and ensure alignment on the “how” of the work they perform. You are comfortable with supporting your team by being hands on when you need to be but primarily focus on enabling and supporting your team in blazing their own trail. Minimum of 10 years of Data Engineering and Development experience
BS degree in Computer Science or related software engineering field or equivalent experience
Strong technical proficiency with data technologies including structured and unstructured data, databases like Oracle and Snowflake, data movement including batch and messaging, RESTful APIs
Familiarity with new and emerging trends as it relates to engineering, data platforms, and similar technologies
An advocate of software engineering as a craft
Experience planning development of team capabilities; Experience resource planning and talent allocation across large organizations
Financial services experience in Asset Management preferred
This Chapter is focused on Data as a primary competency however we work on a wide variety of technologies including AWS, Oracle, Snowflake, Python, REST/API, Kafka, and others.
