Job Summary

The Program Director provides ongoing programmatic support to CCN’s network of service providers. This includes consultation regarding Family Team development and progress, oversight of training, documentation review and processing, and feedback to providers regarding the quality, timeliness, and delivery of services.

Conscience Community Network (CCN) is a collaboration of five Illinois not-for-profit service providers. CCN’s mission is to improve the lives of at-risk youth and families involved in the child welfare and criminal/legal systems. CCN and its network partners implement Wraparound programming in collaboration with youth and families to address unmet needs. This role oversees both of CCN’s programs. One program is the High Fidelity Wraparound program which facilitates the Wraparound process with families that are involved with the child welfare system and the children and youth have complex emotional, behavioral, or mental health needs. The other program is the Dually Involved Youth program which facilitates the Wraparound process with youth that are involved in both the child welfare and criminal/legal systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Uses data to provide feedback on case documentation, how family team meetings are conducted, and the approach and skills of Family Team Facilitators.
  • Provides in-field coaching and support to Family Team Facilitators and Supervisors to ensure adherence to the Wraparound model, utilization of appropriate engagement techniques, and progression toward addressing family needs.
  • Provides support with identifying appropriate services and brainstorming solutions with Facilitators and Supervisors.
  • Develops processes and systems to ensure consistent program delivery and support across providers.
  • Provides technical support to Facilitators and Supervisors regarding program policies and procedures. Strategizes ways to improve program delivery to youth and families within CCN programs.
  • Facilitates trainings for staff and/or identifies and recruits appropriate trainers.
  • Identifies gaps in service array and coordinates with partners or external providers to fill gaps.
  • Conducts outreach and develops partnerships with community providers to educate staff on available resources.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills

1. Strong collaborative, relationship building and communication skills to effectively resolve problems, achieve goals, and meet deliverables.

2. Knowledge of the Illinois child welfare system. Lived experience is highly valued.

3. Experience and ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders.

4. Experience working in a team environment with diverse populations, requiring participatory decision-making, and cooperative interactions with colleagues.

5. Ability to work and learn independently and able to incorporate suggestions and supervisory feedback.

6. Motivated individual that is resourceful, eager to solve problems, and develops individual tasks that will move the organization forward.

7. Highly efficient and organized approach to work, with strong attention to detail and thoroughness.

8. Exceptional time management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.

9. Proficient computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment and adaptive skills to expand software application skills as necessary. Internet proficiency including the use of Google Drive applications.

10. Eagerness to make ongoing improvements in personal tasks and program wide systems, to ensure the most efficient and effective workflow is designed and followed.

11. Effective verbal and written communication skills with ability to convey information to a wide variety of audiences in a clear, concise manner. Strong knowledge of spoken and written English sufficient to obtain, provide, or exchange information. Knowledge of spoken and written Spanish is not required but is a value add.

12. Ability to exercise discretion and ensure confidentiality.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in psychology, social work, counseling, education or similar-related field. Master’s Degree preferred.

Experience: 5+ years of experience, ideally with care coordination, supervision/consultation, and/or facilitating family team meetings.
