*Our Connected Aviation Solutions (CAS)* group has an exciting career opportunity for a *Principal Systems Engineer* to join our Air Traffic Solutions - Domestic Air Traffic Control team. Air Traffic Solutions is developing the next generation of Standard Terminal Automation Replacement System (STARS), as well as providing support to existing fielded systems.
***This position is based at our Marlborough, MA facility and offers the *9/80* work schedule, giving you every other Friday off.***
*You will work on the STARS air traffic control system which is the primary system used for all air traffic control within the United States.

* You will be a part of a systems engineering team working on a new contract to modernize the STARS system.

* You will have an impact in modernizing air traffic control across the country.

*You will gain exposure to multiple air traffic systems and have a helping hand in developing solutions to modernize and integrate them to meet the demands of the future.

* You can take flight to the next level of your career by becoming a subject matter expert and valued consultant to our systems engineering team.

*Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience *or *an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience *or* in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience.

*Ability to receive and understand technical direction, meet assignment dates, and work with others in both an office and laboratory environment.

* Experience with IBM DOORS, Atlassian Jira and Confluence, Microsoft Office Suite, and other systems engineering and architecture tools.

* S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

* Programming skills such as C++ and/or Java/J2EE, scripting languages such as Python, or modeling tools such as MATLAB.

* Prior ATC program work experience.

* Development experience on an FAA Government Contract.

* Experience with Agile Development Processes.

* Experience with Red Hat Linux 9.x.

*  The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
