Onsite*The Protected Communication Systems (PCS) Team in Marlborough, MA is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer in a role committed to creating creative and cost-effective solutions for our ground and airborne systems*.
As part of Collins Mission Systems, we specialize in developing advanced communication systems, ground and flight computers, sensors, cyber and software solutions, as well as providing integration of Mission Systems. As part of the PCS Department, the Systems Engineering department supports a variety of communications systems including SATCOM (including AEHF, EHF, X-Band, Ka-Band, Ku-Band, C-Band, and PTW), Line-of-Site (LOS) Radio Terminals and Secure Switching Networks.
*This position is eligible for relocation assistance*.
*Defining Hardware and Software Interfaces
• Aiding in and/or updating performance models (MATLAB or equivalent)
• Documenting minor changes in systems or processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness
• Analyzing and documenting system behaviors
• Supporting system trade studies, requirements analysis, allocation to subsystems
*Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience
• Requirements development experience including requirements analysis, decomposition, and linking
• Proficient in tooling to include Microsoft products, or tasking boards (Jira, IBM EWM, etc.)
• *Ability to Obtain a SECRET Security Clearance or HIGHER*
*Security Clearance*:
• S. government issued security clearance is required
• S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
• Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance. Agile working environment experience
• Modeling & Simulation experience using MATLAB or equivalent
• Ability to interact effectively with multidisciplinary teams of design professionals including electrical, mechanical, software, test, logistics and other System engineers
• Systems support to software application development
• Good communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation) and ability to effectively communicate with IPT leaders, hardware and software development engineers, specialty engineers, program managers, and our customers

The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
