Medina Hospital’s 2 North nursing unit is a 30-bed step-down unit that specializes in caring for cardiac, neurology and stroke patients. Common nursing responsibilities include titration of medications, wide knowledge base for the cardiac and neurology patient, along with dysrhythmia management, telemetry monitoring and heart failure patients.

A caregiver in this position works Day/Evening/Night/Weekend, 7:00am - 7:30pm or 7:00pm - 7:30am.

Provide direct nursing care.

~ Implement and monitor patient care plans.

~ Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.

~ Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.

~ External applicants: two years of recent related nursing experience.

~ Internal applicants with less than two years’ experience, but post orientation/90-day probationary period, could be considered with the Chief Nursing Officer level review and approval. 

~ Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN).
