Union Hospital’s Stepdown Unit provides an intermediate level of care between the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and General Med/Surg Units. You will be part of a supportive caregiver family that will be united in shared values and purpose to fulfill our promise of being the best place to receive care and the best place to work in healthcare.
A caregiver in this position works Day/ Night Rotation, from 7:00am—7:00pm or 7:00pm—7:00 am.
Provide direct nursing care.
~ Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.
~ Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions.
~ Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
~ Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
~ One-year of current acute care RN experience. If in a Critical Care area an Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) Certification must be presented upon hire or within first year of employment.
Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN).
