As Nurse Shift Supervisor, you will be
responsible for providing overall leadership and management of the health and well-being of the residents within the community.
Maintaining communications with Healthcare Providers of recent changes or requests for orders.
Ensuring that community follows all federal, state, local laws and regulations as it pertains to clinical care.
Partnering with the Administrator and other team members to maintain resident and team member health and safety.
Partnering with pharmacy consultant to provide optimal pharmaceutical services to residents.
Overseeing infection control practices in the community.
Overseeing the safe and efficient distribution/administration of medications, injections, nebulizers, and moderate wound care per state regulations.
Identifying ongoing needs and services of residents through the evaluation/ Service Plan process including documentation for residents with a change in health care status.
Partnering with other department coordinators to identify, review, and discuss potential changes in service/medication levels and updates the resident’s service plan as indicated by state regulations.
Maintaining communications with resident’s family and/or responsible party regarding changes in care or health concerns.
The right candidate should be a professional who enjoys leading their team while providing excellent customer service to residents, their families, and guests. Associate degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one-year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in assisted living, home health or long-term care industries preferred.
