Job Brief

We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our Production Department as a Shipping and Receiving Associate. The Shipping and Receiving Associate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our processes. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, maintaining quality standards, and contributing to the overall success of our department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Order Picking and Packing: Accurately pick and pack customer orders, ensuring products are correctly labeled and prepared for shipment.
  • Shipping and Logistics: Coordinate with shipping carriers, generate shipping labels, and ensure timely dispatch of customer orders.
  • Quality Control: Conduct quality checks on products to ensure they meet Selkirk Sport's standards before shipment.
  • Organization and Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized warehouse space, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to fulfill orders, resolve discrepancies, and contribute to a positive team atmosphere.

Qualifications:

  • Strong work ethic, on-time, and working full shifts is absolutely required.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols to create a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
  • Physical ability to lift and move boxes of various weights.

Skills Required

  • Eagerness to work together with team members and take direction from others in order to complete the tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to switch tasks as warehouse demands shift throughout the day.
  • Operating warehouse equipment such as hand trucks and pallet jacks.

Selkirk requires a 3-month probationary period before being considered for direct employment.
