The Director of Nurse Leader Onboarding and Development is responsible for mentoring and coaching new, inexperienced or under-performing unit nursing leaders. The primary goal of this position is to facilitate the execution of one of the highest nurse leader priorities of the patient experience by acclimating and coaching nurse leaders to balance priorities of fiscal responsibility, operations, people management, quality and safety. Works collaboratively with nursing executive team and facility leadership to identify development needs for unit nursing leadership.
Provides mentoring and coaching to new, inexperienced or under-performing unit nurse leaders through periodic one-to-one coaching sessions
Makes recommendations for sustained or improved performance based on assessment and provides recommendations to nursing executive team and facility leadership
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) with an MSN or BSN with MBA, MHA or other related Master's degree.
National Nursing Leadership Certification is required within one year of accepting the role or by a signed commitment letter.

Required Experience:  Requires a minimum of 5 years in nursing leadership with direct oversight of clinical units. Progressive leadership with multi-unit responsibility required.

Leadership experience in coaching, education, and/or project/program management highly desired..
